Auditions will consist of reading sides from the script.

Play Synopsis: Elias Bolander, the world’s greatest chess player, is on the ropes. He’s been challenged by a far inferior player to a match, but in the lead up, it’s looking like he’s going to get shellacked. He enlists his wife, retired marathon runner Caroline Bolander, to help him cheat in exchange for favorable terms in their ongoing divorce. But when Caroline meets Bowfin, the chess engine that’s smarter than any person on earth, she’s plunged into a world of cheating, doping, and ecstatic love.

Character Descriptions:
Elias Bolander – M, 31. Swedish chess Grandmaster. Has a slight Swedish accent. (Male, 30’s, White)
Caroline Bolander – F, 28. Retired American Distance Runner. (Female, 20’s-30’s, any ethnicity/race)
Bowfin: A free, open source chess engine. It is so beautiful. (Male, 30’s, any ethnicity/race)
